Blacks Stars cannot solve their problems by firing coaches – Speaker of Parliament

Parliament’s Speaker Alban Bagbin, says relieving the Black Stars coaches of their positions is not the absolute remedy to the team’s recent poor showing at AFCON.
When the country’s lawmakers met for the first meeting of the fourth session, Mr. Bagbin stressed on the need to develop an inclusive strategy. He pointed at football infrastructure, youth development programmes, coaching standards and administrative structures as areas for improvement in order to handle the challenges Ghana’s football team is being confronted with.
According him, “The Black Stars and their handlers must know that they represent more than just a football team and are a symbol of our national pride, cohesion and resilience.”They must therefore endeavour to rise from the ashes of these setbacks and demonstrate to the world the true power of Ghana’s football. It is high time we huddled together to discuss the current state of Ghana’s football,” he said.
