John Boadu Urges NPP Leadership to Curb Indiscipline

Former General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has called upon the party's leadership to take strong measures to curb indiscipline within the party's ranks. Mr. Boadu expressed his concerns about the lack of discipline during the campaign for the NPP's flagbearer elections and urged party leaders to act decisively.

Speaking to journalists at the NPP headquarters, where he was about to cast his ballot in the ongoing flagbearer elections, Mr. Boadu emphasized that the level of discipline during the campaign was subpar. He stressed the importance of not just advocating for discipline but also taking action to "crack the whip."

Mr. Boadu warned that if indiscipline remains unchecked, it could pose a more significant threat during the upcoming elections for parliamentary candidates within the NPP. He expressed his concern that a lack of discipline could result in greater damage to the party's image.

Highlighting the urgency of the situation, Mr. Boadu stated, "This is just the flagbearer elections; the parliamentary primaries will be more dangerous if we do not check this indiscipline. It is not just about saying it; there's a need to show action."

Some flagbearer aspirants have faced accusations of spreading false information against the party and the government to undermine their rivals. Notably, Kennedy Agyapong has repeatedly criticized Vice President Dr. Bawumia's handling of the economy, claiming it has brought suffering to Ghanaians.
