NPP Appoints Dr. Kwasi Kyei as National Coordinator for PWDs

In a significant move toward inclusivity, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has appointed Dr. Kwasi Kyei as the National Coordinator for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) within the party. His responsibilities include advocating for the rights and inclusion of PWDs and ensuring their active participation in political processes.

The NPP’s move demonstrates its commitment to inclusivity and recognizing the voting power of PWDs, marking a positive step toward a more representative democracy.

Additionally, Madam Betty Eshun has been appointed as the Administrator for PWDs in the party.
Notably, in April 2024, the NPP opened the inaugural Persons with Disabilities Secretariat, a significant milestone as the first of its kind by a political party in Ghana since the 1992 constitutional rule.
