PNC National Women’s Organizer resigns

Hidaya Ibrahim, the National Women’s Organiser of the People’s National Convention (PNC), has resigned from the party. In announcing her decision, she cited personal and political growth considerations.
In a statement issued on February 18, she says her resignation and discontinuing her membership is effective February 20, 2024.
Having served the PNC in various capacities, including as a parliamentary candidate and Regional Executive, Hidaya Ibrahim expressed gratitude for the opportunities provided by the party but emphasized her desire to explore other interests and contribute more meaningfully to Ghanaian politics.
“It is never in doubt that the PNC offered me an opportunity to cut my political teeth as well as find a solid grounding in the national politics of our country and I would forever be indebted,” Hidaya Ibrahim stated.
She plans to reveal her next political steps as the 2024 elections approach, while continuing her advocacy work for youth and gender issues.
