All outstanding bonuses for the female national teams will be paid – Dr. Gifty Oware-Mensah

There are concerns over the delay in payment of bonuses for the female national teams Black Queens and Black Princesses respectively.
Anxiety from the public stems from the lack of attention these teams get compared to the male national team the Black Stars.

The Black Princesses have been drawn in group A alongside Tanzania, Uganda, and Ethiopia in the Women’s draw for the 13th African Games, Accra 2023. The draw was held in Abidjan on February 1, 2024.
Eight teams will participate in the Women’s football category in the African games which will be hosted in Ghana from Friday, March 8 to Saturday, March 23, 2024.

At a media briefing in Kumasi on Wednesday, Executive Council Member of the Ghana Football Association Dr. Gifty Oware-Mensah says “All bonuses of the Black Princesses would be paid before the commencement of the tournament”.
Adding that the Black Queens would also be taken care of before their game against Zambia in the third round of the 2024 Paris Olympic qualifiers which is slated for February 19 and the return leg on February 28.
