District Level Elections: Voting hits a snag in some areas

Voting in Nintin Electoral Area, in the Ashanti region has been called off for unavailable Ballot Papers.

Isolated electoral areas in the region have also been affected by this situation.

Many affected candidates and supporters were at the Mampong Municipal EC office to make enquiries about the situation.

Meanwhile the Electoral Commission (EC) in a statement signed by the Acting Head of Public Affairs, Mr Michael Boadu announced the postponement of the District Level Elections (DLE) in some areas in some Electoral Areas in the Ashanti and Eastern regions.

The rescheduled DLE he said will take place on Thursday, 21st December, 2023.

“We assure the residents of the affected areas that the District Level Elections will be held on Thursday, the 21st of December, 2023,” he said.
