Election 2024: I will introduce Tax Amnesty when given the nod – Dr. Bawumia

Vice President and NPP Flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has announced his intentions to give Tax Amnesty to businesses when voted into power.

This was during his meeting with the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs on Monday, marking day one of the “It is possible tour” in Kumasi.

This Tax Amnesty is an opportunity for businesses and individuals to regularize their tax affairs without facing any penalties or prosecution, Dr Bawumia said.

Dr Bawumia emphasized that the Tax Amnesty program is to set a flat rate for businesses to operate and reduce the rift between GRA and customers.

In recent times, most customers have had to deal with the GRA over their refusal to pay taxes which in one way or the other has left some companies or businesses packing.

This according to the flagbearer when voted into power in 2025 will introduce a flat rate to cushion businesses in Ghana.
