OSP revokes freezing order on five bank accounts of Cecilia Dapaah

The Office of the Special Prosecutor has revoked the freezing order on five bank accounts belonging to the former Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources, Ms. Cecilia Abena Dapaah.

According to the OSP, thorough investigations have eliminated five of the bank accounts of Ms. Dapaah from suspicion of being tainted property.

In a statement signed by the special prosecutor, Mr Kissi Agyebeng, he revealed that the freezing order on the other bank accounts and financial assets of the former minister of MSWR was still in force and effect in respect of the other bank accounts and financial assets of Ms. Dapaah.

It could be recalled that the OSP commenced investigation in July 2023 in respect of suspected corruption and corruption-related offences regarding large amounts of money and other valuable items involving Ms. Dapaah.

As a result, the Special Prosecutor took measures, including issuing a freezing order in respect of the bank accounts and other financial assets of Ms. Dapaah to facilitate the investigation.
