The Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) has responded to concerns about theft of unaccompanied luggage at Kotoka International Airport (KIA), following a recent article highlighting the issue.
The publication described frustrated passengers at the baggage complaints office and urged stricter access controls.
In a statement on Sunday, June 16, GACL acknowledged the concerns and committed to investigating and addressing them promptly.
The company also announced plans to restrict access to security zones and emphasized that those found guilty of theft or extortion would face severe legal consequences.
