Ghana’s Amputee Football Team Gears Up for African Cup Defense with ‘Akwaaba Fest’ Kickoff


The head coach of the Ghana National Amputee Football Team, the Black Challenge, Stephen Richard Obeng is optimistic that his side will defend the trophy as they prepare for the African Amputee Football Cup of Nations to be staged in Morocco.
Following the call up of 18 players ahead of the tournament, RGG NEWS can confirm that all the 9 foreign and local based players have arrived in camp.

The invited players will tomorrow April 5, play an “Akwaaba Fest” at the Mile 7 Astro Turf starting at 10am.
According to the gaffer, this will be the first time the Amputee Team is organizing such an event to welcome the players.
Speaking exclusively to RGG NEWS, Stephen Richard Obeng revealed that the team will begin their intensive camping after the Akwaaba fest.

He is therefore calling on all stakeholders to support the team as they prepare for the games.
The 2024 edition kicks off from April 19 to 28.
