Government Launches Performance Tracker for Transparent Projects Monitoring

The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) has launched a performance tracker in Accra.

It is a platform to ensure transparency and accountability in the execution of infrastructure projects across the country.

The Performance Tracker was a comprehensive tool designed to monitor and evaluate the government’s progress across various sectors, from healthcare and education to infrastructure and economic development.

At the event at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) premises, Minister for Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, stated “The performance tracker is a database with the performances of the government of Ghana and it is going to show you the various projects that have been executed across the country”.

Adding that the tracker will help address longstanding concerns about the accuracy and reliability of project presentations, particularly the use of artist’s impressions to depict outcomes.
Over time, the Performance Tracker has become more than just a tool but a symbol of the government’s commitment to accountability and progress.

The newly launched tracker is spearheaded by a team of dedicated technocrats and data analysts providing real-time insights into the efficacy of government policies and programs.
