Ho Mawuli Senior High 75th Anniversary Launch


75 years ago, Mawuli Senior High School, known for its academic excellence and holistic education, admitted its first batch of students. The school has launched its diamond jubilee in Accra, with the theme: “Empowering the Head, Heart and Hand into the future.’

For the past 75 years, Mawuli Senior High School in Ho in the Volta Region has been at the forefront of providing academic excellence. As it plans an agenda to celebrate diamond, stakeholders have met in Accra to reflect on the school’s humble beginnings and its evolution into a beacon of academic excellence in the region.

Alumni from various year groups shared some memories and testimonies, highlighting the profound impact that Mawuli SHS has had on their lives and careers. From cherished friendships to academic accomplishments, speakers mentioned the enduring bonds forged within the Mawuli community and the invaluable lessons learnt within its walls.

Emphasizing the school’s unwavering commitment to fostering holistic development, the headmaster of Mawuli Senior High School, Mr. Benjamin Yawo Dei called for an educational system in the current world that requires multi-skills.

The President of the Old Mawuli Senior Union (OMSU), Mr. Richard Nyarko highlighted the school’s continued dedication to providing quality education.

The Keynote address was delivered by Prof Smile Dzisi-Gavua, former first-ever female rector of Koforidua Polytechnic who is also an old student of Ho Mawuli Senior high School. She spoke on the theme ‘Mawuli at 75, Empowering the Head, Heart and Hand into the future.

Looking ahead, Mawuli SHS remains committed to excellence, pledging to build upon its legacy of academic distinction and community engagement for generations to come. With a renewed sense of purpose and pride, the school says it will build upon its rich history and embrace the challenges and opportunities of the future with a call on all Mawulians to come on board.
