Our economy is on the path of recovery- Bawumia


Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia says though Ghana’s economy is not yet at its desired state, however, data indicates it is on a path to recovery.

Speaking at the Eid-Ul-Adha prayers, he acknowledged the sacrifices Ghanaians have made during recent challenging years and encouraged citizens to emulate a spirit of sacrifice to support one another and the country.

Dr. Bawumia noted the government’s efforts to significantly cut general expenditure and the need for continued actions to alleviate the economic burden on Ghanaians.

He stressed the importance of the government fulfilling its mandate in key sectors such as education, health, agriculture, and job creation despite global economic challenges.

Moreover, he underscored the priority of selfless service among leaders, urging them to render dedicated service to those who elect them.

As the 2024 elections approach, Dr. Bawumia called for a focus on ideas and solutions from candidates, emphasizing the unity of the nation.
