Failatu Abdul- Ryazan cooks her way to the Guinness World Records Book

Through the inspiration of Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s sing-a-thon, another Ghanaian, Failatu Abdul- Ryazan, is also raising aloft the Black Star. Failatu is gunning to cook her way to the top and has her eye on breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking marathon.

The record is currently held by an Irish chef, Alan Fisher, with his record standing at an impressive 119 hours and 57 minutes, surpassing the previous achievement by Nigerian chef Hilda Baci.

Failatu’s challenge is slated to commence in Tamale at Modern City Hotel from January 1st to 5th, marking the beginning of her ambitious attempt to cook her way into the history books.

As the countdown to the event begins, anticipation builds for her five-day cook-a-thon and the potential rewriting of the Guinness World Record.
