Pochettino’s Trophy Drought Continues as Manchester City Edge Chelsea to Reach Final

After exiting the Champions League, Manchester City found their rhythm with Bernardo Silva’s late strike putting Chelsea to sleep.

Chelsea created more chances in both halves but failed to make them count. This will be yet another painful Wembley experience after the extra-time defeat on penalties against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.

Chelsea have failed to score in five of their past six games at Wembley.

Pochettino is still pursuing a first trophy in England, another chance of silverware escaping him to maintain a record that places him in the category of very good managers but not a member of the elite group.

Meanwhile Coventry City is set to play against Manchester United in the second semifinal game as City awaits the winner in the final clash.
