The 44 visa-free countries for Ghanaians


From the Visa Index portal, holders of an Ordinary Ghanaian passport have the privilege of travelling to 44 countries without a visa.

However, it is crucial to note that the duration of stay and permissible travel purposes are subject to each country’s specific visa regulations. Ghanaian passport holders can verify visa requirements for extended stays or unique purposes not covered by the Visa Waiver Policy.

The list of 44 visa-free countries for Ghanaian citizens are: Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Benin, British Virgin Islands, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Cook Islands, Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Dominica, Eswatini, Fiji, Gambia, Grenada, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Liberia, Mali, Mauritius, Micronesia, Montserrat, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Philippines, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Africa, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Tanzania, Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Uganda, Vanuatu, and Zimbabwe.
Additionally, there are 19 countries where Ghanaian passport holders can obtain a visa on arrival. These are: Bolivia, Cambodia, Comoros, Ethiopia, Iran, Jordan, Macau, Madagascar, Maldives, Mauritania, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Palau, Seychelles, Somalia, Saint Lucia, Timor-Leste, Tuvalu, and Zambia.
