Ahead of the 2024 Telecel Music Awards, Kojo Preko Dankwa, an entertainment pundit and convener of the Foundation of Creative Arts Professionals (FOCAP) has shared his thoughts regarding the nomination list prepared by the committee.

On the committe’s efforts, he acknowledged that pleasing everyone was a challenge, but expressed confidence in their selections.

Kojo Preko Dankwa spoke to RGG News about the perennial debate between secular and gospel musicians, noting the dominance of secular artists in various music events.

He highlighted the need for more support and recognition for gospel musicians, citing lack of enough events tailored to their genre.

When he compared the presence of gospel musicians in previous years, he pointed out a decline in their representation, especially in comparison to secular artists.

In conclusion, Kojo Preko Dankwa stressed the importance of maintaining momentum for gospel musicians and urged stakeholders to provide them with more platforms and opportunities for recognition.

With the Telecel Music Awards approaching, he looked forward in anticipation to see who will emerge victorious amidst the spirited competition.
