District Level Elections: Go out and Vote – John Mahama

Former President John Mahama says he will vote in the District Level Election (DLE) in his district in Bole in the Savannah Region.

He urged all voters to go out in their numbers to take part in the DLE because it is their civic duty.

In an X post (formerly Twitter) he said “I will be voting later this morning to elect Assembly and Unit Committee Members for my electoral area in Bole. It is our civic duty. Go out and Vote. Your vote in the district level elections matters. Let’s work together to shape the future of our communities.”

In today’s District Level Election (DLEs) over 66,000 individuals are competing for the assembly member and unit committee positions.

However, from the Electoral Commission’s statistics indicate there are 18,755 assembly member candidates and 47,502 unit committee member candidates, totalling 66,257 candidates contesting the local-level elections.

The DLE is scheduled to take place in 6,215 electoral areas across 216 Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs).
