Theresa Kufour passes on

Mrs. Theresa Aba Kufuor, wife of Ghana's second President of the Fourth Republic, John Agyekum Kufuor, has passed away.

She was 88.
Mrs. Kufuor was born on 25 October 1935 and peacefully departed on Sunday, 1 October 2023, 24 days before her 89th birthday.
Former President John Agyekum Kufuor and Mrs. Theresa Aba Kufuor were married for over 55 years and had five children.
Mrs. Kufuor had been facing health challenges in recent years.

She maintained a low profile away from the media and politics despite being the First Lady for eight years between 2001 and 2009.
