Funny Face Remanded in Police Custody Following Car Accident

Benson Nana Yaw Oduro, also known as Funny Face, has been remanded into police custody for a two week duration by the Ofankor Circuit Court in the Awutu Senya East District of the Central Region.

This legal action follows an appearance before the court where he faced charges related to drunk driving and careless driving, stemming from an incident where his vehicle collided with a group of individuals at Kasoa Kakraba. The incident resulted in injuries to five people.

The arrest transpired on Sunday evening following the unfortunate collision in Kakraba, Kasoa, located in the Central Region.

Among the injured, one victim remains in a coma, while the other three are currently undergoing treatment at the Winneba Trauma Centre.

According to Isaac Asare, the brother of one of the victims, their family had a hard time getting access to proper medical care.

Initially transferred to Ridge Hospital, bed shortages prevented admission. Subsequently, efforts to gain admission at the Police Hospital were also futile.

In light of these challenges, the injured individual was redirected to the community hospital in Kakraba.
