Ghanaians broken-hearted at the Black Stars loss against Cape Verde


Stunned, surprised and disappointed is how many football fans described the defeat of Ghana’s Black Stars, with a score of 2-1 against Cape Verde, in their AFCON group B opener.  RGGNEWS to was out and about to engage the public on this heartbreaking opener.

Speaking to Boy Dee, an avid football fan he expressed his disappointment “I staked a win for Ghana in my bet slip and watching the match seeing how the Ghanaian players were struggling in the match broke my heart after investing in them.”

Dziwornu a student and Black Star lover said he was pained by the outcome of the match. “Jordan and Semenyo really thrived amongst the Black Star players. You could see the pain in Jordan’s eyes after the match. I just hope that moving forward the event of losses will change.”

Ahotor Emmanuel, a bus conductor in Accra angrily exclaimed “our defense was the weak link, the Black Stars are beyond recovery. I won’t even bother watching the next matches.”

“The Ghana Black Stars would be playing against Egypt and look at how they’ve lost to Cape Verde how much more Egypt,” said Akoto Prince, a trader at Madina, Accra.

Unlike the others, Michael Kumi a Ghanaian resident in the La Nkwantanang Municipality and a supporter of the national team said “I am not surprised the way the match ended because myself and most Ghanaians have lost hope in Ghana’s Black Stars.”
