The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) and the Ghana Independent Broadcasters Association (GIBA) are calling on media practitioners to actively engage in and publicize the upcoming Citizens’ Convention.
This event, under the Ghana Compact, will take place on June 18-19 at the Cedi Conference Centre, University of Ghana, Legon.
The convention is to gather over 500 Ghanaians from various sectors, including political leaders, civil society organizations, and youth groups, to discuss and reach a consensus on key national issues such as constitutional reforms, youth education, gender equality, and climate change.
Initiated by Dr. K. Y. Amoako of the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET), the Ghana Compact seeks to drive the country’s economic and political transformation.
The GJA and GIBA emphasize the convention’s potential impact and call for robust media coverage to ensure its success.
