Governance Expert Criticizes Political Parties for Unfounded Policy Promises Ahead of 2024 Elections

Governance expert Dr. Frederick Agyarko Oduro says most political parties in Ghana do not have any scientific data backing the policies they make whenever they want power.

His comment comes after the numerous promises made by power seekers ahead of the 2024 general elections. Over the years, the political landscape of Ghana has seen or witnessed different forms of policies.

According to him, due to their quest to capture power, these political parties make promises which are not attainable but only come to a realization after they have won and that policy can not be implemented.

Adding that most parties do not also consider the source of funding and cost involved with some of the policies they draw up thereby making it difficult for them to carry out these projects since there was no proper engagements.

Dr. Agyarko Oduro is therefore calling on leaders to collaborate with one another since these policies by power seekers affect the citizenry
