Jasikan Circuit Court Judge dismissed over misconduct

The Jasikan Circuit Court Judge, Mr Alfred Kwabena Asiedu has been dismissed for misconduct in a divorce case.

This follows a petition on the Chief Justice by Singari Diana Sadia over abuse of power, sexual exploitation, malicious prosecution, and impropriety on January 16^th 2023.  

The petition was referred to the Disciplinary committee of the Judicial Council who upon investigations found Mr Asiedu guilty of the allegations leveled against him.

In a letter dated 13^th November 2023 and signed by the Chief Justice, Justice Gertrude Sackey Torkornoo, Mr Asiedu was directed to hand over all official properties in his possession, including his official vehicle, Dockets and Record Books to the Judicial Secretary forthwith.

“By a copy of this letter, the Director of Human Resources is requested to ensure that your name is deleted from the payroll of the Service with immediate effect,” parts of the letter read.
