KPMG’s audit extension request granted – President

The Office of the President has released a statement regarding the audit on the transaction between Ghana Revenue Authority and Strategic Mobilization Limited. The statement indicates that the President has extended the period for KPMG to complete the audit.
Additionally, the President has denied GRA’s request to allow the monitoring installed to be used by SML to continue.
The audit was initiated after an investigative documentary by Manasseh Azure Awuni, a journalist with the Fourth Estate, raised concerns about the operations of GRA and SML.
