Organised Labour Holds News Conference

Leadership of Organized Labour wants the government to immediately withdraw the implementation of the Valued Added Tax on Electricity for residential consumers. At a News Conference in Accra on Tuesday morning, the TUC Secretary General Dr. Yaw Baah said the country’s mineral resources are expected to provide a buffer to cushion the economy from external shocks but that is not the case.  He says leadership is deciding on the next line of action if nothing is done about the situation by the end of January.
