Apologise to Samira Bawumia and the Fulani Community – NMC orders Power FM

The National Media Commission has ordered an Accra-based radio station, Power FM to apologise to the Second Lady of Ghana, Mrs Samira Bawumia.

Power FM allowed their platform to be used by their guest on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, to insult Mrs Bawumia and the entire Fulani community.

In a statement signed by the Executive Secretary of the NMC, Mr George Sarpong asked the media house to apologise to the Ghanaian populace for their conduct.

“We expect you to undertake the above and present evidence of same to the Commission before November 11, 2023, after which date you may hear further from the Commission,” he said.
