Army recruits pass out


Eight hundred and eighteen recruits from the Army Recruit Training School, ARTS at Shai Hills on Friday passed out after 26 weeks of training. The passing out parade was formed by 12 contingents under the command of Recruit Tetteh Peter. With their passing out, the new recruits are now set
to join the Ghana Armed Forces.

After 26 weeks in basic infantry training at the Army Recruit Training School, these new recruits will be deployed to various assignments and operations undertaken by the Military.

The Deputy Chief Staff Officer Administration at the Army Headquarters Brigadier General Emmanuel Acheampong Baidoo was the Reviewing Officer at the passing out parade, which had an impressive display by the new recruits.

Addressing the new soldiers the Reviewing Officer Brigadier General
Emmanuel Acheampong Baidoo asked them to maintain the high professional standards set by the Ghana Army, while sacrificing to defend the country at all times.

Some recruits who distinguished themselves during their training were recognised and rewarded. The overall best recruit went to Recruit Asante Samuel Pipim, with Priscilla Ofosuhen winning the best female recruit.
