Dr. Bawumia Meets Ghana Nat. Chamber of Commerce and Industry.


The Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry has presented a ten-point proposal to Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Presidential Candidate of the NPP. Their proposal is for their document to be incorporated into the NPPs Manifesto for the 2024 election.

On their list is for the reduction of the High Cost of doing Business, address youth unemployment, reducing budget deficit, amend the fiscal responsibility act, address the recent power outages, reduce the interest rate, utility cost, removable of the COVID 19, and revision of some Port Levy and Duties.

Dr. Bawumia, also put before the Chamber his vision of moving from excessive taxation to production, a business-friendly environment and transform the country into the fourth industrial revolution.

The meeting with the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry was convened by the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who is also the NPPs Presidential Candidate for the 2024 Presidential Election.

It was an interaction with members of the Chamber, to listen to their proposed recommendation and make input into the Manifesto for the 2024 elections. The Chamber drew the Vice President’s attention to issues they consider to be impacting their businesses. Mr. Clement Osei Amoako, the President of the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, spelt out their concerns, while other

chamber members wanted to know from Candidate Dr Bawumia how his administration will ustilise the human capital and natural resources of the country for development. Dr. Bawumia spoke about a Minerals Development Bank to maximise the country’s natural resources.

Dr. Bawumia said the Private Sector will be a partner in development, which means any challenges relating to their operations would be addressed. Vice President Dr. Bawumia promised to be a President to build a new Ghana.
