“I will work with Ghanaians to rebuild Ghana”- John Mahama

The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, former president John Mahama says he remains committed to working with Ghanaians for a better future.

He made this declaration in his New Year Message in a video broadcast on Wednesday January 3, 2024, Mr Mahama rallied citizens not to lose hope and support in the NDC to deliver change and transform the economy.

He accused the New Patriotic Party Government of “recklessly mismanaging” the economy and engaging in “profligate” expenditure at the expense of socio-economic and infrastructure development.
“2023 has been nothing but a continuation of the years of hardship, the high cost of living and worsening poverty for the Ghanaian people,” he said, adding that the 2024 budget offered “no hope” in improving the lives of the people.

After acknowledging the difficulties, he made a commitment to repairing the damage done to our economy and creating a brighter future for all Ghanaians.

He further emphasised on the significance of unity among Ghanaians for an “Improved Tomorrow.”

“We must all work together to bring about the change that Ghana so desperately needs. Let us stand united in our quest for a better future for ourselves and the next generation ,” he said.

Mr. Mahama assured Ghanaians that the NDC is the solution to Ghana’s economic woes, committing to protecting the votes of Ghanaians, stating “let me assure you that your votes will count because we shall protect and secure them. Together, we shall build the Ghana we want, a prosperous and just Ghana filled with opportunities for all”.
