Italy Survive Late Scare to Reach Euro 2024 Round of 16

Italy have booked their place in the Euro 2024 round of 16 games after drawing one all with Croatia.

Croatia got the opener courtesy a goal from Luca Modric in the 55th minute after failing to convert from the spot kick in the 54th minute.

Spalletti’s men had a number of chances to equalize but appeared unable to find the back of the net.

Just as Italy were on the verge of exiting the tournament, Calafiori made an effort, teaming up with Zaccagni to salvage the situation.

This means at the end of the game, Italy will finish 2nd with four points behind Spain who secure all nine points from all 3 games.

However, Croatia will only need a miracle to qualify as one of the best third place teams.
