NSA Boss Prof. Peter Twumasi sacked

Professor Peter Twumasi has been relieved of his duties as the Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA).

Dodzie Numekevor will replace him in an acting role until a substantive appointment is announced.

Mr Numekevor, whose appointment was signed by the Secretary to the President, Nana Bediatuo Asante on February 26, 2024, said he has 14 days to accept the appointment.

Professor Twumasi took over as Director General on December 10, 2019, following the resignation of Robert Sarfo Mensah amidst allegations arising from the ‘number 12’ exposé conducted by Anas Aremeyaw Anas and Tiger Eye PI.

During his time in office, Prof. Twumasi has faced continuous scrutiny for his administration of Ghana’s numerous stadiums, leading to persistent demands from football enthusiasts for his dismissal.
