Picketing at Mahama's Office Is a Misguided Move, Kweku Baako Criticizes the Decision

The Managing Editor of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr has questioned the decision of the pressure group, Fixing the Country Movement decision to picket at the office of former President Mahama in search for answers about the Airbus saga.

In a text message sent to Peace FM's Kokrokoo morning show, Mr. Kweku Baako Jnr clarified that if protestors genuinely seek answers about the progress and findings of the Airbus saga investigations, the office of the Special Prosecutor should be their primary focus, rather than the office of former President Mahama.

“Why picket the office of former President Mahama when your concern is about the pace of investigations in the Airbus saga, shouldn't the office of the Special Prosecutor be your focal point if any? Picketing at the former President's office is to embark on a journey to the wrong destination, needless indeed!" he wrote.

The Fixing the Country Movement has organized a protest at the premises of former President John Mahama's office. They attribute this decision to his perceived lack of responsiveness regarding the Airbus corruption allegations involving the former President.

The group deems the silence and lack of action as unacceptable, urging all relevant parties to promptly address the issue.

"The Ghanaian public deserves transparency and accountability in addressing this corruption scandal involving a former President," a statement signed by Ernest Kofi Owusu-Bempah Bonsu, Convener of Fixing the Country Movement says.
